I have a dental infection and I cannot tolerate the oral antibiotics the dentist prescribed. I was wondering where I might be able to get injectable antibiotics. Are the animals antibiotics at Tractor Supply or elsewhere the same ones humans use? If so how do the doses compare?

We asked the Dentist and he said no and we should talk to our family Dr. The family Dr said he does not treat teeth and does not want to give shots for it.

Can you get a shot at the ER?
What injectable are you thinking? Bicillin LA?
PS. What state is your Hooterville in?

Further - what did the dentist Rx?
Is there an injectable equivalent?

I was taking Cephalexin. There are injectable antibiotics but no onw would prescribe them.
I took Colloidol Silver and my mouth is better.
Thanks to everyone for your ideas!

I am assuming you don't have a LLMD who would Rx Bicillin or Rocephin? Assuming either of those would be effective for your infection.
Could you get them for Lyme - would also maybe treat the dental?
