- Nutiva is very good. So is Artisana.
www.iherb.com & www.vitacost.com have various brands - where you can then go directly to the company websites to learn more about their practices and certifications.
With coconut oil, there's a bit of homework to be sure the company is not ruining the trees, the land - or (worse) hiring slave labor. Sadly, it happens but some are doing it right.
The other day, slave labor was highlighted regarding shrimp that is shipped to the U.S. Sigh.
Just an "IMO" - it seems that we really use a lot of coconut oil and this can impact the eco-systems in destructive ways. So, just remember to use a wide range of oils. Better for us not to have the some one all the time, anyway. -

I would buy Nutiva also. I've also used Artisana.

- I use the refined Nutiva for sautéing and for foods that I don't want to taste of coconut.
But, as for brain health, the unrefined is best but not to cook with, raw, added to food just as you plate it as long as you want the coconut taste.
Walnut oil is also exceptionally good for the brain. Many nut oils are delicious & healthful yet also best when added just as serving. -
