Since about March I've gained 30 pounds. I know this is mostly because I barely move. But I've read more complaints about getting way too thin. Anyone?

Yes, it is quite common t do this. I am much heavier than before. I think most people do have weight change one way or another.

Since I've been on Lyme and Babesia meds, I bloat majorly--it's bizarre how big my stomach bloats. I get uncontrollable cravings and when I'm extra tired, and then it's like I really can't help but eat everything in sight.

It might have something to do with altered hormones. Like leptin tells us whether we're hungry or not and I think it gets thrown off so we don't know to stop eating.

To counter this, eat low caloric - fruits, vegetables, lean meat, nuts and seeds, and do not eat carbs bigtime, including sugar, which all adds to weight gain.

Another possibility is that a lot of us get candida when the intestines are not doing well, and candida wants bread and sugar, which puts on the weight. The diet suggested above is basically a noncandida diet - some go light on the fruit if doing a noncandida diet.

Most of the time I'm too sick to care but it's really extraordinary. It's actually more like 35 pounds. I was actually glad at first because it meant the food I was eating was going in me, but now I'm kind of hoping it will stop at some point.

I'm sorry to hear you all have the same problem -- I thought maybe if I had weight gain it also meant I didn't have Lyme.

So much for that line of thought [Smile] .

Most likely hormone related -- thyroid and adrenals
