My son loves kava. My husband and I drank some with him and both of us were sick for two days. We had terrible stomach pain. If you don't have the stomach pain, it would work for anxiety. My son is anxious and high strung, which is why I think he likes it.

It also tastes horrible.

Have you tried valerian?

My husband takes "Nerve Blend" by Solaray. It contains valerian and other herbs.

I've also heard that holy basil works for anxiety, but we haven't tried that.

Word on the forums online seems to be phenibut builds up a tolerance quick.. I suppose the poweder is cheap enough in bulk but it just doesn't seem like a good long term solution for that reason.

And my husband has an iron gut!!!

I have used valerian, though I don't use it all the time. It was beneficial when I was wedding planning with my daughters. It can make you sleepy, but if you're really anxious, sleepy may be preferred.

Do you think you have histamine issues? It seems to be common amongst us. If you can't process histamine, it can cause anxiety. I have to eat a low histamine diet and take DAO to process what histamine I do get overloaded on.
