I have posted several times about my son over the last few months who had a bullseye in late August. His croup from a few days ago seems to have gone away. For the first time, he woke up a few minutes ago saying that his foot really hurts and "he needs ice". He has never complained about this before and we gave him Tylenol. He fell back asleep so nothing happening at the moment. Does this sound like lyme? We gave him four weeks of cephtin and azithromaxin from starting on October 11 through November. The doctor chose four weeks instead of six because of his age bit the doses were strong (he did not miss a dose).

When my son was two he woke up and couldnt walk on his feet. It was strange cuz he was a vvery active little boy and this behavior of waking up and calling to me cuz he couldnt walk cuz his feet hurt repeated itself 7 times during his child hood
He was the only one in family to test positive at regular lab and be treated by ID doc
The first time he was given a month of abx, tested pos again and given a second month...this was 30 yrs ago
Each time he got lyme the sx was foot pain and the tx abx. His foot pain always went away in a few days andhis energy came back
Now i know bart is often the cause of foot pain.
He went on to finish college and get married but i suspect he has residual lyme

Thanks for the reply. My son went back to bed yesterday morning and has been fine since. I would think that if it was lyme related, the pain would not just go away but what do I know.
He is going to do the iGenx test in early January.

Its so hard to know what to do with this disease. I raised 4 with it but one refused to get tsted-he was older-so never got tx til his late 30 's when cluster headaches got so bad he couldnt work. Then he tested higher than anyon in family
Another son was an. Adult and he and his family had long term tx with famous llmd s
The last two i had to fight every time to get them tx
That is my suggestion to you
Keep current on new info on lyme and tx when you have to. I have learned other things like mold , emf s etc play a major role as well. My kids appear not to have lyme to many but i see stuff like chrinic sinus, hyper hearing, even unexplained anger outbursts and insomnia that lead me to believe they still have bugs in them affecting their health
