Anyone here have synovial fluid drawn from a swollen joint? If so, where did the fluid get sent for culture? On loratadine one tab per day and a product called Basis for mitochondrial support, co Q 10, turmeric, olive leaf extract, black pepper extract, fish salmon oil for inflammation and having trouble with pain.

Good question. I have swelling on the top of my left elbow. Would love to have some of that fluid pulled and tested. Had not thought of septic arthritis. Geez. How does one Dx that? Other symptoms?

It is a terminology. Arthritis due to an active infection which originates in another part of the body, not the affected joint. Google it.

I already did a round with OHSU internal medicine resident. The fact that i treated with Minocycline twice told her that I was cured .when I am in this much pain, I don't have a lot of reserves and just wanted to scratch her eyes out for not listening. I already have an appointment with a naturopath in Beaverton recommended by my previous Doctor Dr, R, who can get me on doxycycline. I am also using stevia a lot but still have knee fibula head pain. I was just wondering if anyone has had Lyme knee and what they did or didn't do about it. My leg hurts to goddammm hel when I move it and can put some weight on it. It came on after a month and a half or so.

What helps my knee when it's at its worst is:
Soothanol 2X has been amazing for me at times. A couple friends also have found relief from knee pain, etc.

- A friend of mine has looked into that for myself and finds it's a bit complex as there are many different strains of marijuana that are used, even for the oil.
A m. store on SE Hawthorne Blvd. in PDX seems to have the most information on which particular strain is best with the oil. I don't know the name of it but there can't be too many m. stores on that street in the blocks between 20th and 40th.
As it turns out, it's so very expensive. I can't even afford magnesium anymore so there is just no way I could consider anything of this nature.
You might also be able to contact some marijuana group that works with the medical aspect of it so as to find the best option regarding the exact strain. And, you'd want it to be free of farm chemicals.

It is the green door. But the phone number does not work, and believe me, I am not going anywhere walking. I called a state licensed dispensary on NE Alberta and got the name of a place to get a card, OCCM clinic I need to get on an antibiotic first before all my joints are destroyed. Balm can run from 20 to 50 $. If I am out on Hawthorne, I will look for green door. Completely stove up. Can't even take the trash ot.

Update: MRI's came back and have a nodule. Could be due to infections? Lyme would be my gues and a meniscal tear. Not sure if they are related. Has anyone had a nodule aspirated? How to make sure they test for all disease. Inflammatory soft tissue nodule at the lateral aspect of the tibial plateau with extension into the underlying bone. This is favored to be of infectious etiology. Neoplasm is possible but less likely, although PVNS would be a consideration. This would be amenable to needle biopsy if clinically warranted.
Small lateral meniscal body tear.
Lateral and patellofemoral compartment cartilage disease.
