I am pulsing Tindamax and Rocephin. Tindamax- 1000 mg. 3 times a week and Rocephin 2 grams 5 days a week. I don't feel as crazy from the Tindamax as I did when I first started it and the Rocephin isn't giving me the reactions it did in the beginning- floaters, muscle spasms and nerve pain. I don't know if it is time to switch to something else. Still overstimulated and not sleeping some nights at all. Thanks!

If we go back to basics, Dr. B's rule that says to treat for 2-3 months after all symptoms are gone might be a place to start doing your figuring?
Sorry I can't say if it is enough for you or not. Bet your doc would know more.
And might check on Babesia with the insomnia still not in check.

Its a powerful and good combination you are on. I adhere to Dr. Burrascano's philosophy of treating until symptom free and then some, like Tincup said. And Keebler has given you good ideas about liver and kidney support.
I am not a medical doctor. But I did the best when I was first put on Rocephin (1995) and wished that protocol had not changed when it did. I am on Tindamax and it seems good for the brain. If it was me, I would stay on your combination. But it seems like you have a good doctor so don't be afraid to run it by him or her.
In the mean time, try to keep smiling.
Still Winning

When I am herxing, it often affects my sleep. Is there anything you can take to help with your sleep? Benadryl? Gaba? a prescription drug like Trazadone? My LLMD told me that restorative sleep helps to rid our body of all the toxins. And when you are treating with all these ABX, you need some help with this!
So sorry you are feeling this crappy. I hope you get some relief.

Thank you- today I felt like I was going to have a seizure and yes sleep is critical. I am extremely hypervigilant even of my own family and am afraid to sleep. I want relief so bad and tired of suffering every day.

Tindamax is a cyst buster and can make you feel very sick, not to mention out of your mind with herxing. Bactrim and Zithromax are very potent drugs as well and who knows what this combo would do to many of us? It is possible that this is all too much for your body right now.
When you say you are hypervigilant, is it that you are afraid that you or your family members are going to come in harm's way and that is why you cannot sleep?
You need to be good to yourself so you can manage caring for your other family members. I wonder if you could tell your LLMD that you want to slow down and do one thing at at a time to start, and slowly, gradually add other ABX. That way, it is easier to manage your symptoms and also figure out whether certain drugs could be contributing to the way you feel.
I hope you can get some relief. A break from some of these meds might be what you need to get some rest and strength back.
Are you able to take epsom salt baths? This can calm the nervous system and also help to detox the body - contributing toward better state for sleep...

Afraid of your family or of epsom salt baths? Regarding epsom salt baths, begin slowly .. it will calm you. If you are still afraid, you might try ingesting more magnesium or using mag oil.

Yes- my husband is on medication for episodes of depression and worse and I don't trust him. My daughter is very moody and don't trust her either. These antibiotics make it worse.Thinking of going to a hotel.
