Is really bad pain in eyes a lyme symptom? It has been so bad this past week. Literally they hurt and are sore all the time. Hurt to move. Feel weird. I am wondering if there is anything I can take to help. Light sensitivity is unbearable. I am terrified of blindness.

Some one said mangosteen. ..havent tried...ocasionally feels like someone is pulling eye socket from behind..how are you treating ?

You need to make an apt with an ophthalmologist for a diagnosis.
In my case it is because of Lyme. My eye pain consisted of sharp pains. I thought I had Glaucoma because I'd read that eye pain can be a sx of Glaucoma but the eye doctor said I had dry eye.

Where in Texas do you live? I see a really nice Lyme sympathetic opthamologist. Houston.
My eyes are terrible - have been for years.
Seriously doubt you will go blind. I would not worry about that.
FWIW when I go outside/in the sun I wear goggles. Tinted jockey goggles. Yeah - I look stupid but they allow me to go outside. They're about ten dollars a pair. Made my Kroops IIRC.
Def. go see an opthamologist though!

And ditto on Mangosteen. You can buy it on Amazon or in a health food store. It is expensive but good for the eyes.

Can you pm me the name of your opthmo? Am in the HOU swamp. too! How did your other Dr's appt w the chinese Dr go? Was he good at the EAV testing? Id like to give him a try, how much did he cost?

Another gal on this forum has seen him and said she thought he was arrogant. (was that you?)
Perhaps I thought the same thing when I first started seeing him so many years ago. I was so sick - so pathetic - he did not understand. Now he does - he totally gets it.
Over the years he has seen me deteriorate and he sees a few other patients that have Lyme.
IIRC he said he has been to a few Lyme/doctor conventions.
Now when I leave his office he gives me a hug. He understands how horrible Lyme is - is sympathetic and wishes he could do more to help.
Anyway, when I first started seeing him for severe dry eyes and light sensitivity - he Rx'd low dose Doxy. I took 50 mg/day for a while - then upped that to 100 mg/day. Doxy is supposed to help with dry eyes and inflammation.
Of course I was taking it not knowing I had Lyme. IIRC it made me feel better - like that small dose was doing something Lyme-wise. I think it helped my eyes as well. I took it for years. Stopped if for awhile. I might go back on it again.
I have Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, also. There are things I have to do for that.
My last visit I mentioned that I was going to try mHBOT for Lyme. He said he thought it would be helpful for my eyes.
Dal - I saw the doctor of CM and got some homeo. drops. I really like the doctor - but I think I am too complicated. Too many things going on - too difficult to explain. There is a bit of a language barrier. I am going to give mHBOT a good try. I just bought a chamber.
I am very interested in EAV/EDS and homeopathics - so if for some reason mHBOT is a bust for me - will go that route.

I had Lyme eye symptoms - light sensitivity, floaters, eye muscle pain and beginning blurriness - it was that last symptom that got me going to an opthalmologist. I passed all the tests even though he had to anesthetize my eyes in order for me to look at light. He wanted to give me a steroid.
This occurred shortly after I got dx'ed for Lyme and I knew better from reading that steroids were not good for us to do.
The next day my chiropractor suggested I try drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory juice with 43 xanthone compounds in it that neutralize free radicals from all the inflammation.
So I did - I drank a bit of the juice. My eye symptoms of over two decades long were gone in 24 hours. My sinuses dripped for 48 hours and I didn't even have sinus symptoms. My intestines emptied for 72 hours. My gums stopped bleeding in 96 hours. That juice is a powerful anti-inflammatory!
I still drink about an ounce/day to keep my eyes and intestines normal. I like the Mango-Xan version as it is the most tart. You can find mangosteen juices at the health food store and online. If you try it, go slower than I did, because it can be powerful.
Yes, the Lyme bacteria like to hide out in the eyes because there's not a lot of oxygen there - they're anaerobic and go places where there isn't much oxygen.
