Unless I missed it, they are no longer claiming the infection is completely eradicated with standard treatment. It's as if the issue of persistence is irrelevant now. If you're still sick after a few weeks of treatment, you're sunk, but we'll roll up our sleeves to make you feel better.
Substitute "tuberculosis" for Lyme Disease in this study to get how nonsensical this is.
