The Youtube & Hulu free viewings of Under Our Skin have disappeared, but you can now watch it for free here. Important for those newly introduced to this hell.
Medical Question: How is that girl from UOS who worked at the U2 concert doing? I heard she has some pains & does not like to discuss LD a whole lot. Does anyone know? My gut feeling was always that she would be VERY difficult to treat & would require life long abx, otherwise she would relapse fast.

She didnt use any antibiotics and is doing fairly well. She went to dr. K and got alternative treatment. She now has a website dedicated for lyme:
Antibiotics just made her feel like crap, so i think it was wise of her to go the alternative route.

It's been a while since I've seen you guys!
Dana took ABX after being diagnosed with Borrelia, but she says it made her SO sick that she couldn't tolerate them. That's why she decided to go to Dr. K.
I remember in UOS II she said that after UOS I came out and while she was still treating with Dr. K, people would recognize her and want to ask her all kinds of questions that she said made her feel uncomfortable because she was not well yet. She was a bit uncomfortable with being a "poster child" for lyme disease.
I think I remember her saying in UOS II (when asked if she was well) that basically she manages the illness and stays on top of it.
So, my impression is that she is not completely cured.
Thanks for the link, Lymedin! And, thanks for Dana's website, S13!

Lymedin2010 - thanks for the update. Do you know if "Emergence", the sequel to "Under Our Skin" is available now for free on Hulu?

I don't think Emergence is available for free viewing.
Lymedin2010, Dana is doing great. She and Brent have a large online community now, listening to speakers together, detoxing together. She and Brent want people to put their focus on achieving as much high level wellness as possible.

The youtube link to "Under Our Skin 2: Emergence" says "This video contains content from GravitasVOD, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

I wonder if Dana still has lingering symptoms & how much better she is? All I know is all the abx & combos in the world & still downward for me.

Dana goes back and forth in her health, so I understand. She and Brent have active online support sessions, if you go to Lyme Less Live More -

Saw this movie in 2009 or so when it came out. Showed my fiance.
It's funny, we are going on a decade; and nothing has really advanced in the field. Not to be a downer but when you think of it that way.... you start to lose some hope.
Not much has changed with me or with this disease. I thought the movie would bring all sorts of awareness. The woman on the Housewives show who has lyme has all the resources in the world too and she can't seem to get well.
