Hi everyone, I have a friend who's results came back with the doctor saying negative. The results are <0.91> ISR. Then they give their ranges for equivocal and positive. There is no information about where this test scored as far as range goes, it just says less than the negative requirement. I don't even know what kind of test it was, can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you in advance!

This is a Helicobacter Pylori test.

ISR is Immune Status Ratio

So the H. Pylori test is an ISR test for antibodies to H. Pylori.

Specimens are considered negative if the ISR is 0 to 0.90, equivocal if it is 0.91 to 1.09, and positive if it is at least 1.10.

So, your friend's test results are equivocal for Helicobacter.

Or, it could be a lyme test. See this site:

TF, do you, or anyone, know how accurate the pos/equiv/neg results of this Lyme serum test are?
