When is the best time to take probiotics when also taking Malarone?

If I take my probiotic with malarone will the malarone simply kill the probiotic bacteria?

Can I take malarone and probiotic at same time or will I need a window between the two?

Wondering because if Malarone is an anti fungal will it still x-out the probiotic?

IMO, Probiotics are a solo act and dance better alone.

Probiotics should ALWAYS be taken a couple hours (both directions in time) away from not just antibiotic or antifungals, but from ANY Rx, really -

- and also away from antimicrobial herbals (allicin, artemesia / artemisinin, coptis, etc). Not all herbs are antimicrobial in nature, though and I think the timing might not have to have enough space as with Rx.

Your LL doctor should also be asked this as they are up on the best detail, if a really good LLMD / LL ND.

Others here will likely have more helpful hints regarding questions such as "with food, without?" "on a empty stomach?".

Source really matters a lot, too. Probiotics are something that can help SO VERY MUCH. So glad to see them included. Always invite them to the party. Good luck with your treatment.

It's not anti-fungal, it's anti-protozoal.

I'd take them separately just to be sure. Doesn't seem like it would kill off bacteria, but you never know!

I take probiotics with malarone, and other supplements too (it's not like an abx).
