Hi makaka:

Well all of these infections need to be hit with a combination of medications.

For Bartonella:
See page 24 of Dr. B's guidelines.

Our daughter is on Rifampin.

Rifampin make many other med. not effective.

I'm on several it would mess with and jerking body would come back if valium and muscle relaxer weren't working.

catch 22, after the herx from starting rifampin ,I notice a positive move to light/feeling going to make it. Yet when I get that slight opening or positive change,I try little things but often like, restroom more often or get up to get something.

then I just wear out fast...a set myself back to easily.

cleocin, doxy, riphampin, valium for jerking movements, vicodin pain pain ...did I say pain?

leg muscles are weak... arms are strong by most standards. mine just used to be twice this.

It's so hard to feel some light coming back and the loose some gained ground.

Few people on healing well has been on all of abx and has not had much luck. How many mg are you on ? It may be a trade for a while . One is using iv vanco!

From p. 24 of Burrascano:

"The drug of choice to treat BLO is levofloxacin." (Levaquin)

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

I took Levaquin for 30 days. Then moved on to treat babesiosis with Bactrim DS. Bactrim also has some action against bart. So, that is how I got rid of bartonella and babesiosis over 10 years ago.

This page of a lyme book gives you more information:

http://www.lymebook.com/antibiotic-treatment-for-babesia-bartonella-ehrlichia-co-infections

Just know that Levaquin is a floroquinolone and some people fear taking these meds due to possible side effects.

If there are other meds that will work, then I choose not to take Levaquin. But, in the case of bart, I would take it if I had it today.

We think my daughter has Bart and she started doxy, is supposed to start w/ he Rifampin next. She seems to HERX for many days after upping/changing doses, so I am really dreading starting the 2nd abx. She has been taking daily epsom baths, and doing some dry brushing. But she is sooooo achy in her bones, usually legs and or back. It is hard to watch, nothing seems to help it.

thank you.I've just been so week for several days.

the rifampin helped some but it also made pain and jitters worse because other meds a very limited and there was no way to make up for the help I got from them with other symptoms.

I also had a brain MRI it had several notes I don't understand. The CARDIOLOGIST that ordered it didn't either now I'm going to a Neuro doc. I felt just week , stopped the rifampin.

bluelyme I'M pretty sure that most you mentioned I haven't heard or seen on lyme info before.

It's that or I'M just not recalling. By the grace of GOD the brain fog is not near as bad as four months agou.

I just want my body to get in gear. I used to be active, not meaning running, jumping etc.

Dancing, horses, swimming , now the water in pools make me fell creepy.

any more bart suggestions?

TF, your program that worked sounds great but dr. is iffy about me taling it I had so weird pulling in my heal once when on it. That was after I had taken that family of meds of and on for years.

Other ideas, Abart and Ababs gave me a herx with only two drops each. you'd think by now my body would herx hard.

Why would it?????????

Brietschwart, the man who runs Galaxy Labs presented on successful treatment with Gentamicin.

Where or how you're going to get that I have no idea.
