Hi All,

About 2 weeks ago I started taking OLE (Olive Leaf Extract) for general inflammation.

A week after I found red spots/grains of rice on the bottom of my right foot (my "problem" side).

2 days ago I upped the dosage to 2 pills a day (500 mg 2x/d). Overnight, little tiny red dots like pin pricks appeared on my belly.

Not a ton, like 10 or so. But every morning I check (today is 3rd morning), and I find more.

I also see more on the bottom of my foot, but they don't look like the ones on my belly.

Has ANYone else had a similar response to this, or ever taken OLE?

It's related to Lyme Disease. If you google "tiny red dots on bottoms of feet related to Lyme disease, you'll get a lot of information. It's probably not related to the OLE. Here's one site.

Count is 40 and rising since 2 days ago!!!! perhaps Babs or Bart? LLMD thought it likely I had Bart due to my symptoms, but he only treats with antibiotics and I just can't handle those right now.

Thanks tulips

In addition to tulips excellent reply, also consider:

Brand? Be sure it's a good brand and real, not counterfeit.

Maybe back down in dose for a bit?

Liver support should also be on board.

Socks. Be sure to wear good cotton white or light colored socks - fresh each day. Avoid synthetic materials on your feet.

Consider any liners in shoes. So many now are doused with chemicals. You might get a vegetable tanned leather thin insole - or cork. But socks are key. And let feet air out when you can at home.

For every Rx, every OTC and every supplement always check for authenticity when you receive the bottle.

A very specific brand of Olive Leaf extract (or a brand that uses the same methods of growing, harvesting, processing) - Seagate. Detail:

In the symptom book, "Checklist for Bartonella, Babesia and Lyme Disease" (which is available for you to download for free on Amazon), under Bartonella, it lists on page 5, Red Papules of any size" and on the internet you can also find sites that list tiny red spots

under Bartonella symptoms. In Google, if you search "Are tiny red spots on legs a symptom of Bartonella" I think you'll come up with some sites. Mine are papules but they're pink, not red but I have other Bart symptoms so I know they are Bart. So what I've been doing is twofold.

1. To knock back Bartonella, I am taking Japanese Knotwood. I'm only 5'2" so I only talke 1 pill 3 times a day. Then twice a day I take 30 drops of Houytenia tincture. I also take 1 L-Argenine (spelling?) when I can fit it in. I know it's

working because when I keep up with my Bart herbs, I don't wake up with the bottoms of my feet swollen. It started as tiny raised papules on legs and belly. If your's is itchy, DO NOT scratch too much or put peroxide on it or Betadine. I did both to the one on my belly and it became a bubbly rash and spread to the exact dimensions of the bandaid.

I had to coat it with Desitin 3 times a day and it finally has almost gone away. When it gets itchy, I spray it with Collidal Silver and if that doesn't work, I put Desitin on it. But you can't cover it with a bandaid as it spreads under the bandaid.

Lately, I've been taking 2 Bromelain tablets twice a day and the papules are shrinking which I think is because of the Bromelain but I'm not sure because I have a lot of Lyme & Co problems and I take a lot of herbs and supplements for this and that but I recently upped my Bromelain because of inflammation and discovered that some of my purpuras are going away.

On page 295 of Buhner's book, "Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections" he lists under Skin Involvement, "....petechiae,
purpuras..." and a bunch of other skin rashes, etc.

I also did a month of Doxy but it didn't really get rid of it.
