Those are just foods, so I have no problem with trying it.
But it sounds too good to be true. How is olive oil and pomegranate juice going to kill mycoplasma?

and I have been on herbs for a while now and still have Lyme

anyway, you may find it this interesting:
as best I understand, OMARIA, Orissa Malaria Research Indigenous Attempt, in Orissa, India is trying to cure and prevent malaria with locally grown and processed pomegranate rind to be less dependent on international pharmaceutical companies, and they are quite successful
I think the rind of the immature fruit is most potent in this context, but the juice contains some similar chemicals and they may work against mycoplasma
I highly respect Stephen Buhner's work and expertise, and his open, sharing philosophy - it is refreshing in a world of patent and money hungry people and companies

That sentence absolutely does not stand alone.
With your remarks of "way too easy!!!" . . . "Hallelujah!!!!!!!" and "sounds too good to be true" . . .
[With all the exclamation and phrasing, it appears that] you are making fun of & diminishing the author / herbalist by presenting information that is just not true because it's incomplete.
[Even if unintentional] it is dangerous & irresponsible to pull sentences just from any one page - present as complete - and not have a fuller view of what ALL has been said by whom, when and why.
The sentence requires qualification. -

- Prof. Garth Nicholson's research in Mycoplasma is to be commended. He does not treat. Still, he is THE top expert researcher in this field (although that does not mean others don't have some good insight, too).
He has been a presenter at various ILADS conference on this topic.

Talk about easy, I'm not going to make a comment about how to treat mycoplasma, but one of the items on that list has been successfully stopping lipomas for me -
Lipomas are fatty tissue tumors, usually little ones, some people get them. I went on a lipoma site and that's where the nurse was who told me I probably had Lyme. So I give thanks to the lipoma topic everyday!
Anyway, a lipoma physician/researcher recommended noni juice and grapeseed extract in order to shrink the tumors. I had nothing to lose, drank the juice and took the capsules, and a month later, no lipomas!!
Counter-tested, of course - stopped the two, and the tumors grew back.
That's big news, because surgeons remove them! And if we can do it with these two items, that's huge - it means lipomas can be an inflammatory issue, since both noni juice and grapeseed extract are anti-inflammatory.
I think the doctor/researcher mentioned something about them combatting MMP9 inflammation, if anyone knows anything about that chemistry.
So, just saying - that noni juice could be a powerful supplement, let alone in combo with the others.

Just not as the full protocol for mycoplasma as the post implies. It is much more involved.
His book devotes several chapters to the topic.

Back to NONI, though, your post is intriguing. Do you have a brand that you recommend? I tried it a long time ago, just one month. And I want to revisit it for my eyes, and other things. It's such a rich food that my body remembers just going "ahhhhh, needed that!" -

Sounds tasty..i want to try it...i was trying to source a herb that buhner recommended for toxo and all i can find is seeds... ( tincture decoct grind but from scratch scratch? ! ) it is japnese hedge parsley.
.i have been researching the myco bart connection in lower motor neuron function and stumbled on this post that species typing is important in treatmen..it doesnt list that mycoplasma incognitus that garth nicolsons daughter may have had .
.i believe this is why the gave all those vets prophylactic cipro doses but being floxed and symptoms sound similar
" Don't ignore Mycoplasma. It needs to be treated just like lyme does and can become a chronic infection. One difference about mycoplasma is that to correctly treat it, it needs to be species typed. There are at least 4 pathogenic species: fermentans, pneumoniae, hominis and penetrans and the best antibiotics vary by species. They are very susceptible to floroquinlones.

Keebler, re noni juice, I get mine at the health food store - brand is Genesis Today - it's pure noni. It's grown in the South Pacific.
At first I didn't like the taste and mixed it with prune juice! Now I've gotten used to it and can drink it straight.
It never did anything for my eyes. Only drinking mangosteen juice does that for me.
That's why it's good to test one thing at a time, to see if we can tell what it's affecting.
Note - the Lyme bacteria might have gotten mixed with mycoplasma and brucellosis - that's a theory, at least.

That you both suggest Genesis as a brand - great lead. I'll make a note for next month on that. Nice to hear that some things can be found in glass jars, too.

It's been right under my nose all along. -- heavy to ship, though (says over five pounds per bottle?), so if can be bought at local markets, probably better.
Note to anyone new to either of these: do not expect deliciousness. They have a strong characters and serve a purpose, though.

I don't know who it was, was it you, Robin? who told me about mangosteen juice in 2011 and it was such a help!
for my eyes (incredible eye pain stopped and blurry and double vision got better) and for me (because I was so scared I would go blind and my doc did not help)
but the person said only the trace minerals ultra magosteen juice works and that is what I got and stilluse today when I have eye problems again (like this week) and it still works, it seems
I have not taken it in over a year and express ordered some last week when I had my flare - taking it now and my eyes are ok again
uh - I just saw it said "discontinued" on the iherb page

it is easy to get carried away when trying to get out of this dark hole of Lyme and co-infections and lack of medical establishment support
but please don't be so hard on someone who may just be exited about having found something easy
taking it out of context is a dangerous thing - you are right - but it was probably not done intentionally
it can happen to all of us
and we are very grateful that you are here to quickly point it out and correct it

Don't tell someone to buy his books, and then criticize their interpretation of it.
I bought the book. What I've typed is basically what he has in his mycoplasma natural antibiotic section.
Now, I'm excited it is 100% food stuffs. I'm going to try it, because there is no downside.

I assure you that in no book by the author has he ever stated what you posted as the sole approach. I have all his books, just checked to be sure.
Yet, my apologies if you were not being sarcastic or making fun of the author / herbalist. And maybe you got ahold of some book that misrepresents his work and boiled treatment down to one sentence.
I can see how that would bring excitement and I am sorry to say that it is more complex. That can be a sad thing to hear when we think it might be something in all this that might be simple.
Or, since he has written many books over time, he may have just had an "aside" mentioning that those things just happened to be good for mycoplasma and did not go into fuller detail in that particular book.
You might check the date of that book, too, and it could be helpful to see the timeline of his works.
Not sure which book you have. I hope you have access to this 2013 book where discussion of Mycoplasma and treatment covers about 250 pages. If not, be sure to ask at your lyme support group as they may have a lending library:

Robin, Mango Xan is a mixture of mangosteen and other juices. That's why it's cheaper.
I don't want cherry and pear juice, etc. (he is a diabetic) so that is why I buy pure Mangosteen juice and it is helping my husband with his eye irritation.
