I`ve been on Rifampin for two months for Bartonella and now adding Zithromax to it. The pharmacist would not give me my script for Zithromax tonight because she said there was an interaction with Rifampin and it made the Rifampin toxic. She has to call my Doctor tomorrow.

Has anyone ever taken this combination together and if so, ever had any issues?

I took zith with Rif for a while with no issues.
Also added Doxy to the combo, then stopped with elevated AST/ALT levels (common with Bart treatment).
