My daughter's "red dots" seem to be vasculitis. Our dermatology office is biopsying one. Our LLMD indicates that this is often the case w/ Bart and to be expected.

Wondering if anyone has been dx with Vasculitis, I am worried as there are lots of not so great things that can be associated w/ it.

Thanks

Many have been given a vasculitis diagnosis with the TBD's.

Just checked and there are over 130 scientific abstracts related to Lyme and vasculitis.

she initially had a few "bumps" on her leg starting last August. Then they faded. They came back more when we started Doxy, but once the Rifampin was added they flaired. I posted a pix on another thread. But they have gotten worse, and we stopped Rifampin about 8-9 days ago. Never even made to full dose

I will look for other thread with pics ...vasculitis sites says it can be initiated by infection ,medication, bacterial or viral...i did see a paper where docs were guessing which type was caused from which infection..from everything from strep to cmv ...

i have a therory that stealth pathogens that the body did not see left their outer surface protiens or flagella on the endothelial lining and then immune system is like "oh there they are/were"...

regular docs have nothing but to suppress the immune ...ideally if root infection is removed then immune response should fade ...

Buhner may be correct in saying shut down the cytokine storm. ..japonese knotweed and other vasoprotective means may be of help..

sorry i am not smart enough to be of any mor help
