Anyone have any resources on the link between Lyme and psychiatric issues?

I have a lot of people trying to tell me my issue is depression, not Lyme. But everyone I've ever talked to with Lyme also speaks of the same unrelenting depression and the emotional aspect of the disease.

I trust myself, I understand depression. Until I got Lyme, I did t understand how hopeless I'd feel. How no matter how hard I tried to will myself better, I couldn't.

It's really hard not to see myself as weak. That I should be better by now but I'm not letting myself be happy, etc.

Dr. Brian Fallon of Columbia University has great research regarding the neuropsychiatric aspects related to Lyme and coinfections.

Here is one link:

Check this out, it really made me realize I was only going to temporarily nuts.
Hang in there, it does end with proper treatment.

Sometimes Rx used in depression can make things worse, why that might be:

Topic: SSRI antidepressants & Suicide

Other avenues discussed here, too, as to what can help.
