Hi,

I have been having numerious skin infections of MRSA on my body since early this year. I have been trying to control them by essential oils and eating Allimed garlic supplements but not consistently.

I have been getting worst by the day. They confirmed i have MRSA in my throat and recently my husband was confirmed as well with MRSA in his throat. Though he does not have any siginificat symptoms i do. Each month i have sore throat, flu like symptoms and general feeling of being unwell.

The most scary thing is my heart rate is constantly 80-90 and my body temperate is always low between 96.7-97.3. I keep reading these are signs of sepsis but i have been like this for months.

I really feel now maybe all along i have been living with chronic infection of MRSA instead of Lyme. It is slowly creeping up in my body everywhere and i am in pain.

Any natural therapies would be appreciated.

The hospital is sending us an antibiotic to try for 10 days Clindamycin 300 mg three times a day. Though i keep reading very bad review of this med.

--------------------
May God Bless you, answer your prayers, relieve you of your pain and make you stronger than what you are today. Ameen.

I have used Clindamycin with no issues. People are more likely to report problems on here if they have had a problem with it.

If I was in your shoes I would go the antibiotic route first since MRSA is potentially deadly.

I had a neighbor that got MRSA and Levaquin knocked it out.

You mentioned you feel you may have had MRSA all along and not lyme. The majority of infections treated with abx do not have herx die off issues like lyme. So you may not have any issues like you would with lyme and co-infection die off.

I hope your doctor has or will get a medical test to see what strain of MRSA you have as that will narrow down what antibiotic will help you recover.

Here are top 10 ABX with MRSA

Tetracycline-(Sumycin, Terramycin, Tetracyn, and Panmycin)-broad spectrum polyketide antibiotic, Tetracycline-ABC has enhanced physical transportation of the antibiotic
Levaquin
Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim, Bactrim DS, Septra, Septra DS)-is a sulfonamide antibiotic, effective in Hospital Acquired
Doxycycline (Monodox, Microdox, Periostat, Vibrox, Adoxa, Doxyhexal, Doxylin)-is a broad spectrum antibiotic, it is a semi-synthetic tetracycline
Hibiclens
Clindamycin (Dalacin)-it is a is a lincosamide antibiotic, stops or slows the growth of bacteria
Daptomycin (Cubicin)-it is a novel lipopeptide antibiotic, it is a naturally occurring compound found in soil
Rifampin
Linezolid (Zyvox)-it is a synthetic antibiotic, it is a very expensive treatment
Minocycline (Minocyn)-it is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, long-acting type of antibiotic

The antibiotic that is chosen for MRSA treatment will depend on the specific strain that is causing the infection.

Very sorry to hear this.

Your body temp and heart rate is really just fine. You might want to get your thyroid checked, just in case. Mine was like 95 before I was finally put on meds.

BE SURE YOU ARE TAKING FLORASTOR or you will get c.diff!!! You don't need that on top of everything else. Clindamycin is notorious for causing c.diff.

I would also get the Mupirocin nasal ointment and the brown hospital/ surgery type bath stuff (disinfects body/ skin) to bath.

And I would have both you and your husband do the antibiotics.

Wash every last thing in hot water.

Get rid of it together. Pronto.

Along with the best direct antimicrobial treatment,

the health of the liver is also directly involved in how far a "cytokine storm" can go - you say you might be in the "sepsis" neighborhood soon, so to speak. Of course, if it comes to that, the ER is essential.

To keep help it at bay, in some cases (but not all and not with faster growing infections - see sepsis thread below)

Your liver / kidneys have to be able to move out the "trash" & glutathione is essential to have circulating in your body.

Be sure to avoid acetaminophen and ibuprofen for different reasons explained here:

Septic Shock / Sepsis

Know the signs - and the significance of glutathione

Make sure all in your family or circle of immediate helpers who may be with you at a hospital also study this -- now. Everyone should know all this, actually. No time to learn in an emergency.

You ask for natural treatments. There are times for Rx, clearly. I cannot comment on what your treatment should be, however,

ALLICIN capsules and allicin ointment for skin might be something to consider, along with advice from an excellent naturopathic physician.

If you take Levaquin, consider how to keep yourself safe during and for a couple months afterward:

Sonee, anyone with untreated sepsis is generally dead in a few days. If it is not caught early, it is a killer. So, you don't have to worry about having this. You don't.

If you had it, you would be so sick and weak you would need an ambulance to take you to the ER. You would have basically no blood pressure and not be able to lift your head let alone move around.

Correct .. I hope that helps her to relax a bit. Sepsis moves quickly and is relentless.

Monolaurin from inspired nutrition fights MRSA.

I wouldn't rely on that alone, but would use it in conjunction. Good stuff.

Maybe give biocidin spray a try, I have been using to treat nasal antibacterial resistant staph on my LLMD orders.
I use a nielmed spray bottle and flush out sinuses. I believe you can ingest it as well.

I dont understand this conversation. When i had mrsa i was rushed to hospital. It didnt respind to any iv they gave me. They cut it out twice. Finally figured out vancomycin was only abx that would get it and i had that for a few days in hosp

My brother is having 4th surgery to try to get rid of it and has been on iv abx 3 weeks and will be on another 6-8 weeks

How can you be ok after all this time with no abx?
