We have the same situation and we went with ASEA as that gives the building blocks for glutathione (plus helps with body water balance issues). For the cost of one IV our family member can take it twice a day for a month, plus it saves the needle stick and hassle.
I called the company direct and someone who sells it got in contact with me. I do see someone selling it in sport store on the shelf here but I probably get a better deal just getting my own account and getting on auto-ship.
I was watching this years Lyme Summit and it was one of the top Lyme docs that said IV glutathione stops being effective after a while.

NAC = N acetyl cysteine converts to glutathione.
I take the "Now" brand 600mg per capsule.
1800mg is not excessive - daily.
Sublingual Glutathione is available from Source Naturals.
It does not taste bad.
It is dissolved under the tongue because glutathione would be destroyed by stomach acids.
Amazon carries both.
