I am finally feeling well enough to walk around for periods during the day and have noticed how weak I have become throughout the last years of disability. My legs shake when I pick something up front the floor.
Can anyone suggest a rehabilitation program they have used? I have read Dr Bs guidelines which state that no anaerobic exercise is key with rest, but I need something more specific with structure to get started.
Thank you!

I found Pilates to be fantastic for recovery. I'm not talking about big mat claasses, I mean private personal training sessions with an instructor with at least 600 hours of training who has experience in working with special cases.
It worked so well for me, I became a Pilates instructor myself.

Pilates sounds great .. or weight lifting, as Dr B suggests.

- Qigong or Tai Chi. They are very similar, yet Tai Chi involves more moving of the neck side to side, in case that matters. Just be sure to find an instructor who, as SKG suggests for pilates, has experience with special requirements of those who are / have been very ill.
And find a form that fits, one that is focused on healing and rejuvenation such as Soaring Crane Qigong or one similar. Some forms of both Qigong and Tai Chi can be rather rough. I once got into a wrong class before figuring that out. -
