My doc is starting me out on lower doses than Dr. H recommends in his book, and we're going to work up.

I believe they reference it as a dose that stops the bacteria from growing, but not enough to eliminate it. If I herx it should mean it's starting to eliminate some though right?

Yep. If the low dose stops the bacteria from growing, then your immune system can kill it and do away with it.

My llmd says the doses are individual. Some people respond to low doses, some need high doses.

Just always be sure that what you're experiencing is a herx and not a side effect.
