Two months ago I had horrible pain in my big toes and thumbs. So bad I couldn't use my thumbs if it caused any pressure.
A couple of weeks later when the nails grew out (especially on the fingers), the nails were orange tinted.
Now that they grew out even further, I can see it isn't connected in that orange area.
Now I am starting to get that pain again. No redness or swelling, just pain when pressure is placed on it.
What I am wondering is if this could be a lyme symptom or possible yeast problem?
I am either having a major flare-up or a herx this week, not sure the difference between the two, and feel horrible.
The symptoms I am experiencing are the same as my previous lyme herxes.
I just finished 5 days of Diflucan yesterday as I was concerned about yeast, and day 3, 4, 5 on Diflucan was bad as is today. Day 1 and 2 I felt no difference.
I was taking Diflucan on top of my mino, clarithromycin, and mepron.
My brain fog and thinking is so off I am not sure if I am making sense or even asked the question I needed to! So please forgive any rambling!

Hmmm...my doctor's don't know as there are no other symptoms other than the pain and a small part turning orange as it grows out.
I will have to keep better records on when it happens.
Thanks Tutu

Mrs...
I was surprised to see you post as I had noticed the orange tint too on some of my nails. I'd never heard any one mention it.
I've had severe nerve pain in my hands and some fingers too, like you describe, but not both orange and pain together that I can remember.
BUT, when I read the post TuTu shared, I realized mine was most likely from not wearing a base coat under my nail polish.
And the reason it was only some nails, don't laugh, is cause I paint them all different colors.
So, I am sorry I can't help you with a solution here, but Professor Tincup (or should I say Professor Dip Stick) did get an answer to a question that she didn't even ask for!
Hope you do get an answer and most of all, the pain subsides!
