As you can see I have some complications with a dental issue...
I was given amoxicillin for a dental infection but I'm not sure if it affected my "Lyme". Since I haven't ever had a 100% diagnosis - I'm really wondering what to do.
After I took the antibiotic for 1 week, I felt kind of like a brain fog & very tired... I had less joint pain, as well. I called the dentist to see if he would prescribe more abx but he said no & I have to go see the root canal dentist.
What to do? I can't afford to go see an LLMD. I am waiting to see if I can get medical insurance since I'm not making alot of money. If I do get the free Obamacare - they really have no clue about Lyme, CFS, Fibromyalgia, etc. I tried it before & I got no real help. They only really treat diabetes, cancer or heart disease/HBP. If you have some complicated illness, they don't do much.
I went through getting their blood tests, etc. & they claimed I was healthy... (Of course they didn't even take my claims at having Lyme or Fibro seriously.) So, all they could refer me to was some stupid physical therapy that did nothing.
So, any suggestions would be helpful.

You mentioned a herx and wanted more abx for a root canal .. but that's not going to happen.
Are you able to get a copy of Buhner's book and treat supposed lyme with herbs?
...another thought .. maybe it wasn't a herx ..

I went to a dentist & my tooth was infected. He gave me 7 days of amoxicillin. I've been having alot of joint pain after menopause. I didn't have it prior. The amoxicillin made my joint pain less & it helped my tooth.
I felt a bit weird, as well - tired, a bit of brain fog, etc. I really have no idea if I have Lyme or not after all these years. Do you think the abx was hitting the Lyme or something else?
It might be some other infection or the tooth infection...? It's hard to say. Should I continue the abx? I guess I could look for some herbal antibiotic...

Is the tooth still infected? If so, that can be causing your symptoms. I have a friend who had Lyme who felt much better after having infected teeth taken care of. They can cause systemic symptoms.

So many people had some tough sinus infection this year. Mine turned out to be tooth/sinus (5 wasted months & studying: root canal vs. pulled tooth, whew!). Get that tooth taken care of before abscess--aargh!
I had the root canal but colloidal silver sustained me for several months (not knowing my tooth was 'dying' and the infection made me sleep a lot). NO other sinus herb, etc. helped that issue.
I think a silver generator would've been cheaper (than 32oz. Silver Biotics from swansonvitamins.com). IDK what forum folks think of making silver at home.
IDK about Buhner but it's all over this forum, whew, lots to learn huh?
I agree w/ 'too & 6goofy.
Would like to know your progress.
