Holy Headache... I always have a headache along with dizzy/buzzy head. It is my stubborn symptom that doesn't want to go away without a fight.
Does anyone know tricks for headaches. Tonights is pretty bad, but neither Ibuprofen nor Tylenol even touch it.
I've been icing my head, but not sure what else to do..

Headaches are so painful.
I love alka selzer. I don't know if it's the fizz and the bubbles but I feel instant relief. But it contains aspirin.
i also love midol. It's not just for cramps. It works really good for any kind of pain. But it contains acetaminophen.
Hope you feel better.

Did you try heat instead of ice? Sometimes heat helps.
My hubby is having bad headaches the last few days.He thinks he might be coming down with a sinus / head cold.
Sometimes peppermint oil - either diluted and rubbed on or sniffing the vapors. He sometimes puts a few drops of peppermint oil on the cloth covering the hot pack he holds on his head.

I tried heat last night and it helped a bit. I'm going to try the peppermint too.
I have alka selzer...should have thought of that. I like it with a bit of lemon in it.
Woke up this morning and headache is still here. Not as bad as last night...hoping it gives s bit soon.

I was told by my LLMD that headaches are very often to what is going on in the gut and liver.
I have struggled with them. Try Glutathione, Advil, Alka Seltzer Gold or sometimes I have to take Relafen which generally knocks it out. DETOX!
One time in my LLMD's office on the staff members had a migraine, which they treated right in front of me with 8 Glute capsules and 4 Advil. Her headaches was gone by the time I left my appt.
Drink a ton of water!

I suffered with a terrible headache *continously* for 2.5 YEARS. It rose and fell, but never went away.
The culprit in my case was gluten and dairy. Once I excluded every bit of them from my diet, and gave my body a couple months to then quell the inflammation, the clouds parted and the headaches went away.
I strongly attribute the headache to these two foods because if I accidentally eat some, the headache comes right back.
I don't know if you have already excluded these from your diet, but many LLMDs strongly recommend it, regardless of whether you have headaches, because they can put you in a constantly elevated inflammatory state.

Thank you everyone. I haven't gone gluten and dairy free, but I've been considering. I did for about a month once and didn't really see a difference, so????

It has calmed down. It was SUPER bad for about 4 days. Now I'm just back to my normal dull ache and dizzy.

One of the triggers for my hubby's terrible headaches was a delayed reaction to eggs. 48 hours after eating egg, he would get a 'blithering' headache.
He found it with food allergy testing and avoided all the foods he had severe reactions too for 6 months. Then he was to try each one - one at a time.
He avoided eggs for several years. Now he can eat eggs without a problem. But we do have our own chickens and they can go outside. That could also be part of the difference.

Ask a pain doctor to fax a script to a compounding pharmacy:
Ketamine 10% Nasal Spray 30ml Use 1 to 2 sprays into one side of the nose up to four times a day. Maximum of 8 sprays per 24 hours.
The compounding pharmacy I do business with charges me $50 for the above spray, which the pharmacy says is gauranteed to be safe and potent for 30 days, so I basically get it refilled once a month. Although Ketamine is an effective painkiller, it does make me dopey, so driving while using it would be a mistake, but there are times, especially during the night, when I'd rather be dopey than hurt.

manname, I don't eat eggs very much. They sort of just sit in my stomach weird.
phoiph, it definitely could have, but the worst of the headache happened about 2 months after the taper.

I'm curious...I remember you had some trouble tapering off of klonipin and decided to discontinue the taper. After the taper, did you go back on your original dose, or stay at a lowered dose?
If you stayed at the lowered dose, considering the long half life of klonipin and reduced dose, it may have taken some time for the levels to get low enough to trigger a withdrawal headache.
Just a thought, as I have read about this happening to others.
