If an ATA (atmospheric absolute) is 1 at sea level Does that mean that in a chamber that does 1.3 Your overall pressure at sea level will be 2.3 1 + 1.3 ? Or Does that chamber simply increase the pressure by about 1/3 of an ATA resulting in 1.3 ATA? Thanks

I just wrote about this in the mild hyperbaric thread.
In a chamber that reaches 1.3 ATA (atmospheres absolute), at sea level, your overall pressure is 1.3 ATA.
"Atmospheres Absolute", or "ATA" (vs. "Atmospheres, or ATM), includes the pressure of the atmosphere at sea level (1.0 ATM).
So, 1.0 ATM (atmospheres) at sea level + .3 ATM of chamber pressure = 1.3 ATA (atmospheres absolute).
