I saw my pulmonary doctor the other day as a follow up and told him I am still having breathing issues. He put me on symbicort, a steroid inhaler telling me I probably have asmtha which I know I do not. Sorry spelled that wrong too. This lyme brain is so much worse. Anyways I did the inhaler for two days and today I feel so messed up in the head. Dizzy, off, terrible brain fog. Along with this issue I saw a dermatologist yesterday because on my palms and fingers, my skin is peeling. She doesn't know why either but put me on a steroid cream. Does anyone have any idea why these two products would make me feel so messed up. thank you.

Steroids usually aren't good for people with Lyme because they interfere with your immune system, so they can make your symptoms worse. Sometimes in an emergency, you might have to take them, but otherwise steroids aren't good.
I tried an inhaler for my asthma once and it made my asthma and other symptoms worse also.

I am so sorry that - however it was - you did not see this detail first. Most of us here try so very hard to be sure this is known as common fact by anyone new to lyme. It's in Burrascano's guidelines. I wish you had been able to know this first.
But, even now, know that there are other options besides steroids.
Steroids can make treating lyme nearly impossible and cause the chronic nature to be far more, well, chronic.
* They should be used ONLY in emergency situation that threatens life (or vision) and then, only when one has excellent lyme / tick borne infection protocols in place by a true LLMD or LL ND who knows all about this and also knows what else might work better either instead or along side.
Steroids, even inhalers or topical creams can also cause ANXIETY to zoom to the moon, - so be mindful and kind in how you address that. Other matters to consider:

And why BIOLOGICS that also dampen immune function can also be just as damaging if infections are not being properly identified & thorough addressed. -

- Babesia can cause trouble with breathing. Steroids are not the answer.
Also be sure to banish your home from all things fuzzy.
Avoid all sprays and powders in person care, housework, etc. -

then that is why I feel so messed up the past two days. I have major anxiety and keep crying and so off balance that I fell out of my bed this morning. Thanks for the input. Will not take them again.

- Make sure that you pick up with a multi-faceted action plan, though. You obviously still need some relief for your breathing and there are various ways to approach this. -

Same here. I went from 99% well to being in the hospital with severe nerve damage, unable to walk in the matter of a week after the shot.

Me too.
Took steroids and antibiotics for constant sinus and ear infections all my life.
In reality it was like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. It destroyed my immune system. I am now on IVIG probably for life. Oh, and Neuro Lyme is embedded in my DNA.
No steroids for me except in a life or death situation.
