As I have mentioned probably in an earlier post, my llmd told me to go back to my neuro doctor and talk to him about my cognitive skills, memory, etc., so I did today. First let me say he doesn't believe in lyme disease other than the typical 30 day doxy. Second, he doesn't know why I am having memory issues (brain fog probably) and ordered a neuropsych testing and also wants me to see the infectious disease doctor, all a total waste of time.
I am not going to either one of these and told him so. I am calling my llmd and ask her why she even sent me to him.
Very disgusted and depressed to say the least.

not really. I can go back to the NP who I originally went too. I don't understand why this doctor who is a llmd for years and treated my daughter many years ago is making me go through these hoops. Just don't understand it. I also know of an osteopathic doctor who accept my insurance that test and treats lyme disease. Would this be a good choice for me to go?

I had a positive babesia through igenex but she said the number was 40, high normal and she wants it retested. I came up positive with bands 34, 41 and 58 and she said only band 34 was a lyme band. Is this true, I thought all three were.

No No No.
This is not acceptable that you are being treated like this Linda. So sorry.
I hope you are not thinking of going to the Lyme Clinic in Boston. They are not ILADS trained and therefore are not recommended. You MUST have a ILADS trained LLMD.
I will send you a private message. You NEED a new LLMD. Period. Get all your tests results, you will need them.

This LLMD is not helping you. I second Bartenderbonnie's response. A real LLMD will help figure out your symptoms and help you with relief.

No Bonnie, I am not going there. I am going back to the Nurse Practioner that first diagnosed me last December. I am waiting for a call today. I am praying she takes me back because I left her for the other lyme doctor that doesn't seem to know whats going on with me.
I went back to her because she treated my daughter years ago and I trusted her but now, I am not so sure. Maybe she got burnt out, I don't know but I am a very sick person that needs help.
I found a chiropractor in my area that knows a lot about lyme and he is going to try to help me with this horrible balance issue. Do you think that is a good idea? I pray he can because it is a huge symptom that bothers me everyday, all day long. It is horrible.
(breaking up the post for easier reading for many here)

I often wondered how one would go about switching lyme doctors then finding it didnt work out and trying to going back. Since it was in December (like not years), can you tell them you ran out of money and couldnt afford an appt?
Or is there information you want to show your old LLMD which would necessitate you telling that you tried to switch?

Linda, was your NP from RI? I also know a good lyme literate holistic chiro in Worcester if you are interested.

Linda, re the chiropractor possibly helping with the balancing issue, all we can do is try something to see if it helps. It's like ruling treatment in or out.
If it is the neck vertebrae involved with it, you'll find out. I get immediate relief when the chiropractor adjusts a vertebra that is causing a symptom.
If there is no relief, then it's something else. A number of folks have implicated babesia here.
Even lack of response to a treatment moves us forward, as in, it's not that. So it's ok - try stuff and then you'll get a bigger picture of what works and what doesn't.

This particular chiropractor actually called me today. this is what he said. He does muscle testing, puts people on DesBrio Lyme Remedies, has anyone ever heard of this? He may even do some chiropractor maneuveurs on me also. Is he a quack or the real deal. never heard of any of this stuff before.

Desbio are homeopathics. Some people do very well with them, although I don't think that they alone will get you well.
I go to the chiropractor regularly. The manipulations always release toxins.
Are you using things to detox?
