Hi all,

I am on Mepron, azythromycin and artemisinin for 6 months. For last 3 months my head symptoms increased but on and off and last month it is continuous and not getting any relief.

Feeling head is very hot all the time, pain not headache, some time headache, dizziness, fatigue.. tried different oils on the head but could not get any relief. My LLMD prescribed bactim DS to my current protocol few months back but could not start because of already existing symptoms.

Any suggestions or herbs for these head related symptoms? Or with out bactrim DS the symptoms will go away?

How many abx we should be on to see any improvement? Lately I am loosing hope..

Please provide any suggestions or inputs.

Thanks and Regards,

So sorry you are going through this. You might be experiencing side effects from some of the ABX you are already on, causing these symptoms. Does your LLMD know how miserable you have been on this regimen?

Would your LLMD be comfortable prescribing herbs instead of the ABX? They are sometimes (but not always) gentler than pharmaceuticals. Or perhaps you could switch to the Bactrim and stop one or two of the other meds? You should not be suffering like this with no breaks in between.

Thank you dbpei for your response.

Even though I was on these abx for 5 to 6 months these issues started after 3 months. My LLMD thinks this is Herx and asked me to take magnesium and other headache related drops.. my LLMD add herbs to abx but not herbs alone..

Perhaps you just need to switch to some new ABX. I know that I could not handle azithromycin. I did okay with mepron, but there are many who can't handle that one either.

I would ask your LLMD if he/she can switch your ABX to see how you respond. Good luck to you. I know it is not easy.

I would say this combo has quit working for you. Many folks have this experience and have to do a change up.

These bacteria are known to resist, resist and survive.

Thank you dbpei and map1131 for your responses.

My LLMD thinks it could be Herx with brain swelling and try different things to reduce swelling..

If nothing works then may be change the abx.. as per doc we need to be on the stronger protocol to see any improvement.. could be 3 to 4 abx at the same time..

Diagnosis is one thing and the treatment is whole different thing.. after diagnosis I thought by taking meds for 6 months will show some improvement at least..

Thanks and Regards

I'm sorry you are going through this. Have a look at Tumeric Forte by MediHerb for brain inflammation.

Sophia Flow cream at the Sophia clinic is good for draining lymph in the brain.

Here is a good video explaining how it detoxes the brain:
