Hi all,

I started Cryptolepsis (along with GSE, artemisia annua, and teasel) over a month ago for babesiosis. Cryptolepsis was the last one I added to the mix and I only had some fluish symptoms until I started cryptolepsis.

I know Buhner recommends 1/4 tsp 3x daily for a few months to clear babesia. I can’t take more than 10 drops a day without getting a migraine.

I don’t typically get headaches or migraines and this pain is excruciating. The pressure is all over my head with stabbing pains above my eyebrow and behind my eye.

Do you think I should keep trying to titrate up? Will it get easier or will it always hurt to kill off babesia?

If you feel bad - absolutely - DO NOT keep increasing the dose. Decrease or stop. Change the plan.

Don't take anything that causes you to feel so much worse -- or at least do not take the amount that tips you over that edge.

It's counterproductive. It might not be the right thing for your specific case, your specific body. There are many other ways to approach.

and you might also consider if the entire protocol you do each day is enough to cover all the support bases and not too aggressively attack infection.

Assertive - or consistent but not aggressive is the key to stability.

Thanks for the response, keebler. I’m afraid to undertreat, but yes I am being aggressive. I just want to hurry up and kill everything off so that I can take care of my daughter without all this brain fog.

She’s dealing with chronic Lyme also, but in so much more pain than I am. She’s only 7 and has the arthritic knee pain and increasingly more frequent migraines [Frown]

What do you mean by covering all the bases? Like immune support, detox, and gut-healing?

I’m also taking probiotics, liposomal vitamin C, chlorella/spirulina, mag threonate/oxide, NAC, and serrapeptase.

The only thing that seems to help me is the GSE and serrapeptase. I started to have good days on just these two.

I’m so tired and can’t think clearly.

you say that you "just want to hurry up and kill everything off so that . . . " (end quote)

It does not work that way. It will take time.

Slow down. A rushed approach - regardless of what you take - if it makes you worse - that's dangerous.. Seriously, if something you take causes you so much pain, stop it. Reassess your approach.

If, as you say, you can't take more than 10 drops without a migraine developing, then do - not - take more than 10 drops.

Try increasing by just one drop a day for a week or as long as it takes if you feel like something is working for you. While the goal is to get to a therapeutic dose, that can vary for different people - from time to time for the same person

&

nearly always it takes gently adjustments to get to the best dose.

And explore other methods. It just might not be the one for your body.

Neither hands nor energy allow to me write / type as I'd like. Must stick to major points. See what it says here about AVOIDING a herx and why that is so important.

You must find a balance of what is tolerable yet direct & assertive overall - and supportive.

Be sure to read all of Stephen Bunher's book and search his website with key terms to find others with same ? as you.

And why some doctors say it's vital to AVOID a herx.

"mag threonate/oxide"

mag oxide is not a good idea. All the others you list are good support, indeed.

Hope you find your comfortable yet wisely assertively plan. It has to be tolerable, that is non-negotiable.

Good luck.

another thought. Drop one or more (all?) of the other things you take and just take crypto for a few days at a reasonable dose and see how you do.

Could be that the combination of something else with it is making it worse for you. See how you do on that alone for a couple days. That might garner information you can then work with.

Of all you take, magnesium (though not an oxide) might be okay to keep on board or add back first.

Best, though, to see from Buhner what other things he recommends with it. There is a combination tincture with Sida Acuta (sp?) that might work best for you, keeping in mind that other than for a few days' test,

it's vital to have multiple things on board to treat babesia. I'm not sure anything else you take is a direct item, though, other than the Crypto.

Keebler, thank you for taking the time to respond, it’s very helpful [Smile]

I’ve been sick with a little cold for the past few days. Other than that, I’ve just been on 10 drops of crypto and 10,000 of serrapeptase and feeling ok. I will add Sida acuta, but I have to wait for it to be delivered.

Why do you not recommend mag oxide? It’s been the only thing that helps keep things moving as that has always been an issue for me. But, I know it’s not well absorbed.

I’ll read the information on the herx now, thank got the link!

While there are many forms of magnesium and some do not affect bowel function,

Magnesium CITRATE is better if you want something to help your bowels along. Oxide is not just not absorbed, it's not good for the body, even when just part of the formula.

When the other tincture arrives, start with just one drop and see how that goes. Hope you feel better.

Avoid coconut as that is a remedy for constipation, actually.
