I saw 1 ND for 6 months and got worse. Said she knew how to treat Lyme, she didn't. Herbs, reki, muscle testing, essential oils and 100mg 2x a day Doxy. I was a neebie and didn't research or do my homework.

I have seen 1 LLMD. I have been treating for over 2 years, have gotten many periods of really good health. I would rate her up there with the best. No plans to change, ever.

But I am not cured. . .but very hopeful.

Ten LLMDs at least since 2007 and among them the supposed best of the best. And that doesn’t include acupuncture, pain management etc. etc. Cured? Nope. That’s a pipe dream. My daughter has had a good (relatively speaking) year here and there. But she is as sick today as she’s ever been, if not sicker. Now we are focused on treating the autoimmune diseases she developed as a result and that’s proven equally difficult to treat.

Don't know about cured, but remission can happen.

If it's a really good fit between the Lyme doc and the patient, the answer is one! Otherwise, people search to find treaters they can work with.

It's a matter of experimenting with treatments to see what's going to work for us - we're all individual in terms of what we've got and what will work. Docs also usually do some bloodwork, may order some DNA testing too.
