Has anyone noticed that they lose their hair when they have had lyme? I am going through a terrible time with my hair, everytime I brush it, the sink is full of hair since I got sick two years ago. Just started a treatment plan. Don't want to go bald though.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

yes I lost a lot of hair, until I read about how almonds and corn are the worst thing to eat if you have hypo thyroid. I suspected I did (bloodwork always normal), so I stopped eating these two foods and my hair grew almost instantly.

it is worth a shot.
note: I am gluten free so corn and almonds were staples for me

I think it might be due to lack of adequate thyroid. You could get bloodtested for thyroid sufficiency and if not enough, go on some. I like Armour thyroid. .

if you have "bottle cap tongue" then you have thyroid problem. most drs dont' even know this.

My hair used to fall out and we realized that I'm anemic. Now that I take a supplement for the anemia, my hair doesn't fall out anymore.

thank you all very much. I will get tested for my thyroid and anemia to see if this is the cause. Appreciate your comments.

thyriod can still be off with "good" blood results- just be warned.
