Hi,

Has anyone read and hopefully have a link to a more recent medical study that shows the benefits of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) for treating Lyme?

Thank you.

There are a lot of studies on grapefruit seed extract, it is antiviral, antibacterial, anti fungal, and anti yeast.

Here are some of the studies on the effects of grapefruit seed extract in spirochete, round or cyst form and biofilms in Borrelia Burgdoferi;

Bad news. . . Zhang’s research showed no activity with grapefruit seed extract use;

A search of Prime Pub Med showed all kinds of research on grapefruit seed extract but none on Lyme disease.

Thank you for your response and for all of the links. I will check them all out.

My LLMD has been treating me for years, and does not prescribe naturopathic. But he is very interested in naturopathic Lyme studies and recently said that he has seen success with GSE in patients who started on it.

He said to me that he has read some very promising research on it.

For the past year I have a ND and she was quite agreeable to adding in GSE. Though she didn’t have the same enthusiasm about it as my LLMD.
