Long story short: In an incredibly dumb move, I managed to get bitten by a tick while camping 8 days ago. In textbook fashion, I only figured this out after I was home for a few days and then got really sick. I tested negative for Covid and influenza A and B, and then found the tick bite and bullseye rash behind my ear. This was Friday, basically. I'm very sure, sadly, that its the beginnings of lyme again.

Until I figure out a longer term plan, I know that time is certainly of the essence and decided to get going with antibiotics, so I decided to take: 200mg of doxycycline twice a day, 500mg of amoxicillin three times a day, and 1000mg of astragalus 3 times a day, at least for now. I got that all started on Saturday (2 days ago). I also have been on maintenance CSM for a long time, but just bumped that up to 3 doses a day instead of 1.

Does that sound like a decent way to start off until I can get in touch with my llmd?

Make sure you take a probiotic. With all those antibiotics you will upset the natural flora of your gut.

Here is the 3rd edition of the Marty Ross Lyme treatment guide, last updated in November 2021. Lots of new treatment ideas.

Your treatment plan looks very proactive and solid but ditto on the probiotics.

Thank you! (I also started immediately with frequent probiotics too, as I know how important those are, especially with a lot of oral abx.)

Thanks for the Marty Ross link too. I used to kinda follow his stuff way back when - and this guide seems quite up to date from what I can tell. It seems quite comprehensive.

Thank you for the ideas!

Very sorry to hear! Sounds like you have it going strong.

Personally, if I ever get another bite, I will hit it with ivermectin.

Video from a chiropractor who believes ivermectin helped him recover from early case of anaplasmosis (but he also used doxy after feeling better):
