Please...anyone...what is this? It's making me nervous and I constantly am feeling them, and I'm freaking out!

Never noticed it yesterday or any other time. They're not painful, so do I just leave them alone and hope for the best?

Does my abx protocol have anything to do with it - flagyl 250 mg, three times daily and Bactrim 2 every AM and 2 every PM.

I've never had anything like this before, and, in fact, didn't take any abx today due to a bad day yesterday with my first fleeting eye flashes in one eye, which is gone today, plus just feeling rotten. So I took an abx break.

But, these scary bumps, size of thumbtacks panic me and they feel weird.

I don't know how to fix this.

Not to worry one bit.

I can't say what they are.. but I get them now and again... and no house has fallen on my head because of them.

If they turn red... warm.. inflamed... check with the doc next trip. O tay?

Mine go away on their own... and sometimes it takes a long time.

Have you been checked for Bartonella?

You may try a warm GENTLE massage in the area of the bumps if you feel the eed to do something.... and then leave them alone. Massage above and below the sites.

If you are still concerned after a week or so... contact the doc. But till then... not to worry your pretty little head...

But, now that I have done 20 months of abx, I haven't noticed them in awhile.

I feel a whole lot better after reading that these bumps could go away on their own.

I haven't been tested for Bartenolla, although, I was taking Rifampin only for two months...maybe, not long enough. Will have to check on that.

That could be it from what I've read on your posting on co-infections, which, by the way, is excellent info.

It's so strange, though, I never noticed them the day before, and I type a lot and have to use cream on my hands constantly due to dryness, and never felt these big knots before.

How can they just occur overnight like this and is that even possible? I know Lyme is strange, but this is too weird!

Well, anyway, I hope they go away like yours and TC's.

You can tell if someone has arthritis or Lyme disease by tiny bumps on their bones. These diseases do not just destroy the joints, but they also infect the surface of the bones. The bumps are most common on the shins and lower ribs.

I asked if he could diagnose me based on that, and he said I would have to wait untill he can see me in his office.....

WOW, bd! That's awesome! I never ever heard of that! I think I have those on my shins! I have one large one below my left knee....and my shins feel really bumpy. Are some people's shins SMOOTH????

bd, I've never heard about these bumps before I got them, but do they really destroy the joints and bones? I'm really in trouble then, because I already have osteoporosis dx'ed before Lyme.

Is there ever an end to this endless disease!? Wish I knew the answer, and I do wish there was a cure, not just a remission/recovery until stress brings it all back.

What an enemy stress has become...and wondering what new symptoms greet us each day doesn't help,...but, I know we can't afford the luxury of a negative thought. I think that's a book...can't remember. Sigh.

I wish I could just get looped and this all go away!
