I was on Claforan but had to quit 3 weeks in due to a horrible rash and the inability to use my legs after infusing.

LLMD says Primaxin is one of his recnt good responding abx's. Anyone have experience with it?

Up for info on Primaxin.

I don't know much about this one, and I would like to, in case my son or I need to change IV agents. It has been mentioned briefly by my LLMD as well.

This was my first IV med. I did fine the first week and then the HERX!! BAD headaches, fatigue, joint pain. I took a couple of days off and then went on. If I felt a bad herx coming on I backed off. I think I did 2 months and moved on to clinda. It can be tough but be kind to yourself use some detoxing and hang in there. I have been herxing over a year now, off and on and finally feeling somewhat human Good Luck!!

My LLMD uses this as well, esp for giving the hardy bicillin users a butt break. I beleive it has worked well for the same people who responded well to bicillin...
so its a kick a** drug.
Dont you have to infuse it @ eight hours?

A butt break..

Shake it, don't break it!

Yea, I think that one has to be infused 3x per day.
