Good day to all.

Any comments on the following information is lovely. I am a very practical person. I am also an extremely sick and debilitated person. Tradtional, western medicine has not been helpful to me. I am trying some weird stuff now. I went to see a lady who does something like muscle relaxation and says tell me some numbers and the symptoms will be released. Stay with me on this one. She says I wanted to be sick and (lose half my small life) learn lessons because of this illness. My response was- "are you crazy? Never, never would I ever want this or could I ever imagine being this sick for this long. No human being or entity shou suffer this." So, because of my desparate situation, I talk to myself and say, " I am healthy, strong, and whole." How long until this works?

Second- went to a homeopath lady. The stuff she gave me is really strong and makes me feel like antibiotics did (but antibiotics are a waste for me). It makes me hallucinate at night, I am so tired I cannot move, my brain is non-existent. Where am I? Is this helping or is it another waste of time and money and hope?

Third- Used a rife machine once. I could not finish the cycle because it made me so sick. What does this mean? It did not make me feel any better later in the week.

Fourth- Am I creating this pathetic (sp?) life? It is the last thing I have ever wanted. What am I doing wrong? Thank you-J

I think we would probably need some more information. You also might want to post on a natural healthcare site or doing some reading. Here is the site that Byron started: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/lyme-naturalhealthcare/

I'm really just starting the natural and homeopathic stuff so I don't have much to add.

What's in the homeopathic stuff that you are taking?

Thank you for your replies. I was feeling alone and well, like a freak trying these things out. The homeopathy stuff I am taking is this it is out of a company in utah called nature's sunshine)
1.Omega 3 EPA (normal stuff)
2.Enviro-detox (stuff like burdock root, ginger root, milk thistle and like 20 other similar ingredients)
3.Yeast Fungal detox (oregano, garlic, echinacea root etc)
4.jp-x kidney detox formula (golden seal, juniper, parsley, dong quai etc)
5. False unicorn (false unicorn root)

Thank you for the website by Byron that you recommended. I will check it out. Lithuania?Wow.

dear hello, you are on the right track with all those herbals you are taking. i also have been using Nature's Sunshine products for years, i think they are excellent formulas. you probably are herxing big time; every once in a while i do while on the detox/natural abx formulas. i am beginning to have some fairly good days lately, but regress some when the weather is in a low. keep up with the K-C-Mg levels so you don't cramp or feel horrible all over. at my support group last week, we discussed all this , and agreed that while it may seem like you are feeding the bugs, if you weren't getting the high levels of nutrients, you would probably be in worse shape. of course, it's always your choice of what to do. hope you start to feel better on the protocol!

Hello,

You wanted to be sick? That's crap. This whole "we attract our own diseases" thing is a bucket of poo. Personally, I think it was made up by people deathly afraid of disease - it gives them a sense of control over illness in that if they don't "want" to be sick, they'll be "safe".

Hey, I'm all for positive thinking and visualization, but the idea that my grandmother somehow "wanted" cancer so that she could learn some kind of lesson before it killed her is just wrong. What she wanted was a trip to Italy that she never got. She did NOT want that cancer and she did not learn a lesson from it (except that it completely sucks and kills you).

Do be careful with herbals - some can be quite strong/reactive. If your symptoms concern you (and they *would* concern me), I would back off and try ONE herbal at time to see if a formula or combination is problematic for you.

And I think that you must have seen a holistic physician - not a homeopath. Homeopaths prescribe homeopathic remedies, not herbs.

Just be careful with the herbal formulas - you can be allergic to something in them and not know it. For example, if I take anything with ginkgo in it, I get really angry - it's a sensitivity I have to ginkgo. My mom can't take anything with cinnamon in it or she gets short of breath (not cool).

What you're taking may be making you herx or it could be an allergic reaction - please be careful.

I would ditch the numbers, keep the positive visualization, and really closely examine the herbals. But that's just me.

Best of luck to you - just because we travel different paths doesn't mean that we aren't going to the same place in the end, right?

Limping lily-Thank you for your reassurance regarding the quality of the herbs. And, thank you for your kind words in closing. Best to you also.
One question to you or anyone really who knows about this. I was bitten in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, while attending high school 14 long years ago. Do people present similar symptoms based on the origin of the tick/bite? For example, my worst symptoms are dizziness, brain fog, profound fatigue, neurological pain etc... I see that you are from NJ and was wondering if people share symptoms based on geographics. I wonder what can be drawn from this information. Thank you.

Mikken-I really enjoyed your post. Loved the wording about wanting to be sick. THank you for clearing up the homeopath vs. holistic physician misunderstanding- shows how much I know. Best to you as well. Thanks

Hello
I was bit in Massachusetts and/or Maine. Most of my symptoms are all central nervous system (tachycardia, severe headaches, dizziness, burning pain, tremors, heaviness in limbs, brain fog, seizures and feeling faint). I would make sense to categorize by region if different infections were more prevalent by region. For example If Babesia is more prevalent in the Northeast that would account for so many people having the same symptoms (I don't know if is more prevalent, I was just giving it as an example).

I tested negative for coinfections but my doc is treating me for them anyway and I have had a good couple of weeks (although I do have a cold now).

Take care. The detox stuff sounds great. I take milk thistle and add it to tea. I drink 3 different types of teas that have a lot of ingredients you mention (immune support, detox and cell builder teas by Yogi). I'm also in the process of gathering ingredients for a homemade tea for detoxing posted by TinCup (I think it was TinCup). I have also added L-theanine which helps with the anxiety. Lastly I just started taking a product called MGN-C but it is really expensive and I don't know if it is helping or not yet, it is to increase White Blood cell count. I also take garlic and that's pretty cheap.

Anyway, enough rambling. I would ask about co-infections again too. Also maybe you could get your b12 level checked. My tremors are worse and so are the headaches when this is low.
