Has anyone taken Cat's claw with thier anitbiotics and have had liver problems? My LLMD had me add cats claw to the Ceftin and Zithromax I take and last Thursday when I went to my regular primary care doc he palpated my liver and nearly shot me to the roof with the tenderness. needless to say I had a blood test done to check my liver enzymes.
No results yet . I do take a daily homeopathic remedy for detox but I sometimes get laxed on it. I also have Milk Thistle but have not taken it yet.
Anyone familiar with these problems with cat's claw. Thanks.

I've been taking saventaro since January and have had great results, but I was already on a liver detox that was keeping my enzyme numbers down.
Has the cat's claw been giving you enough benefits to justify a continuous detox?

Hi This happened to someone in Eurolyme I think...the problem is you have to take Samento with a large amount of water. I think the drops have to be added to water and you have to drink a lot of water daily...hopefully someone more knowledgeable can offer more specific advice.
You could try asking on Eurolyme as many of Dr W's patients there are taking it.
All the best Emma

Hi, I have taken Samento, 600mg or 1200mg along with Zithromax, or Doxycycline, or Flagyl.... since I am on a rotation of these meds. I have had no trouble with liver proplems. I just had blood work done because they suspected difficulty, but my liver and other blood work was fine. Yes, I was also told to drink a lot of water, which I try to do. I take the capsules not the drops. Laczi

I have been on the cat's claw for about a month now and was seeing results. The only thing is my knees started to hurt last week, and I have never had problems with my knees so I was not sure the cat's claw was causing it.
I have been taking the Samento caps 600mg by Nutramedix alternating with 2 drops of the Una Del Gato by Allergy Research Groups. I am suppose to take twice a day homeopathic detox drops. My ND ordered that several months ago when I was on Flagyl and also got right side tenderness.
What is the website for EuroLyme?

Hi Judith!
Abx alone can cause liver problems, so I'm sure the combo could really pack a punch. I've taken milk thistle throughout my five years of treatment and never had any problems with my liver. I've done abx and Samento. You might want to get started on milk thistle .
Good Luck and Take Care...Terri

Judith16, I had knee and hip pain last week. This was 4 weeks after going off the IV abx. I have not had any joint pain at all in the past year that was even simialr to this pain. So I got to thinking that if this is lyme then it is deep in the tissue and has been there for years. I have had pains in these joints over the years but nothing like I just descibed. I think I may have gotten LD about 8 years ago. Is this at all similar to you?
