I haven't been here in a long while. Maybe no one will remember me, but I wanted to drop in and let you all know that there is life after lyme - so don't ever give up hope!

I am in my 4th year of LD. I went 8 months after being bitten and developing symptoms before I was diagnosed (believed) and started treatment. I love my LLMD!!

Anyway, I am now mostly symptom-free. I am on only a "maintenance dose" of doxy. I am able to go off the meds completely for extended periods of time when I have no symptoms. When symptoms do re-appear (usually after periods of major stress), they are relatively mild (small annoyances - andn othing that interferes with life!) and I go back on the meds.

I feel healthy again - I am happier than I have been in years - and I am more grateful than I have ever been for everything in my life!

Ever heard that quote "if He leads you to it, He will lead you through it"?

Keep the faith!

I was having a rough time of it today after about 4 weeks of having a little mobility.

Those times when you take a dive or the hardest.

I was trying to clear up some insurance matters today. It was so difficult to go through the boxes of papers to pull out the papers I needed. I will be so glad when I am able to organize my files again.

I could do it for about 5 minutes and then needed to lie down, rest, and try again.

Of course, I think....I should be doing better than this after a year of treatment and got discouraged.

I was on one of my recovery times when I laid down on the bed next to the computer and pulled up lymenet and saw you message.

Thank you for taking the time to give us encouragement and let us know there is life after lyme.

I also have made about a half of dozen phone calls or more trying to find a hopital that will install the PIC line.

I ended up at square one...and that is with an appointment with a primary doc first in hopes that he will be able to get things rolling. I had all ready made an appointment with him on Monday but he called in and cancelled all his appointments that day.

It is just so difficult to do the simpliest of things with this disease at times...most times.

It as if I am not getting oxygen or blood to my brain when I try to sit upright.

Gosh, it would surely help most of us if more recovered people would come back from time to time and give us the encouragement to hope!

Thanks!
Nancy
