My 13 year old daughter who has lyme was very upset with this episode.

She felt that it did not accurately display the many symptoms and chronic nature of Lyme disease.

She is writing a response to the epidsode at this site: http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.shtml

Please join her in sending a message to Barbara Hall, executive producer, to please convey to the viewers how complex and extensive this illness can become.

Maybe they could include at the end of the show, as it is done on other shows, a brief comment on the many symptoms of this disease and how important it is to get a proper diagnosis to avoid it becoming a chronic illness.

If they hear from enough of us, perhaps they will respond. Thanks.

Marie Bess

I did send something with a lot of info, and the misinfo they stated etc...along with the fact that a public service announcement with the LDA"s phone number would also be nice, so that the public can get further info etc...

I also said that i had chronic lyme and that I am also an RN.

HOpe all this helps. It would be a nice forum next season to have them continue the storyline a little to include some info on this...

thanks for the direct link...

Lisa

I also sent a response sharing some info and suggesting they have a little PSA at the end of the show with some Lyme info and where to call for more info. Hopefully they won't just ignore us if enough of us respond.
