Hi all. I did a search on metals and haven't come up with anything definitive. What are they? Where do they come form? Are Lymies more suseptable, or is it only lymies that have metal problems? What can I ask my LLMD to do about it? How do you know if you have a problem?

I know that there are a lot of questions here, I am very interested (and confused). I have been fatigued for many, many years, and now that I have Lyme I have read that metals can cause this.

Any info would be great! Thanks to all of you, you have been so helpful! Krista

Hi Krista

Heavy metals are in the water we drink, the foods we eat, the air we breathe, daily household cleaners, cookware, amalgam dental fillings, jewelry, paints, etc, etc, etc...They are everywhere, in everything.

We are all storing toxic metals in our bodies and I'm learning that addressing them is essential for overcoming most, if not all, chronic illnesses.

beware, there is lots of controversial info out there, so do your research! Do a search on this board using the words "heavy metals" and you will be reading for hours. look up the username "GiGi" on here - she has written over a thousand posts about heavy metals and Lyme.

good info on testing for metals: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018885.html

I hope this helps a little. happy healing!
