Hi!
Last week I wrote in that I had some kind of panic attack about having my IV's.Started shaking and crying and really scared.

Today I felt the same way and couldn't settle all day.Just so nervous it is an awful feeling.Taking more pain killers etc to help settle my self, but shall end up a junkie if this continues.

Had that awful no hope, why am I bothering feeling.

Starting to think that all the meds have actually caused this as they surely haven't helped.Going to the next stage of giving up hope.

I think I am trying to do too much at once.Trying to lose weight, haven't had a cigerette for 4 weeks and fight lyme.Losing all battles.I have had so many easy days with the smokes and have done really well but today came the closest to going and getting some as I really felt like I was going to start screaming like a lunatic or have some major brain defragmentation or something. Can't explain the feeling.

Feel like last weeks reaction to the IV's is a predictor of things to come.Feel like something really bad is going to happen and don't think I am ever going to get better.

Thanks for listening,Sue.

Dont let your mind run away with you when it happens remember its just what it is dont get excited and pump more adrenilin in to yourself. Stay calm as you can through it.

you are going to be alright !!

i get really bad anxity, expecilly when doing any med procedure

i am on iv and when they put my picc line in i thought it was just going in my lower arm,,,wrong.

when i found out it was going to upper arm to above heart oh well lets just say i panic.

anywho i have been on iv for six months now and sometimes i still have anxity ,

exspecially when we added glutathion

gosh i thought i was going to die. in my doctors office

right in front of my boy my mind went al over the place

i was so scared i started shaking .

I dont no why, it justs happens,

if you drink soda or coffiee, chocolate, im not saying you do ,,just in case

try not to do it anywhere near time of infusion

also

instead of pain killers, if you are not in pain...

try something like valarin root, check with dr first it is a herb,

just make sure it wont interfer with your meds,

and if you do take make sure you dont have to drive, it will have a calmming effect,

also try to find something on tv, or a hobbie that you enjoy that will help take your mind off of you anxity ,

maybe if you have a friend to call at the same time,

i really feel your pain, i have had anxity so bad that i have been hospitalize for it.

it really is very scary,

and i understand and i hope you have a support system at home.

if you dont

you can emai me if you need to talk

email
on profile

i really hop you feel better .

Sue,

Im so sorry to read about your anxiety.

Whenever i have to even have an injection at the hospital for a cat scan, an MRI, or when i have to have a needle thing taped to my arm for injections, i freak out.

It is very scary and its hard to say mind over matter. For me, i need to take klonopin or xanax. It makes all the difference in the world. Im still very unhappy about what is taking place, but it somehow takes that edge of "panic" feeling away.

Im not sure how much pain you are in, but maybe different meds might work for you. Pain meds kinda help anxiety, but that is not what they are meant for. I take narcotics too, but only for when im in pain. If im having an anxiety/panic attack, i take anxiety medication.

I hope this helps. Have you ever tried xanax?

Jordan
