My llnd says i clear the cdc standars on 1 of the test(lyme literate natropathic doctor)he is going to put a pick line on me and give me 6 weeks of 2 grams a a day ropcellian. is it that i have lyme that made me get sick from the mold> or did the mold make me sick and it causing a false positive on the igenex? I have mold growing in my skin..I have candida organisms growing in my skin..I have pulled out also what looks like blades of grass from my skin..I have a sore elbow 24/7. IM tired 24/7..whatever it is it is in my brain now i feel stoned 24/7..I do have a herx reaction to both antifungul treatments(olive leaf and garlic) and herx reactions to flagyl which i tried..I just wonder before one the word of 1 test. To answer your question directly: no, there is no way mold can give a 'false positive' on a Lyme test - because the test picks up a very specific immune response to the Lyme. The test is designed so that even other bacterial infections don't show a positive.

I have both fungal issues and Lyme disease. Both can suppress the immune system, so either one could have come first for you, making it easier for the other to get a strong hold on you.
They do not cross react on tests, though different molds will cross react with each other.
The best thing you can do for your mold issues is to get the mold out of your house. This is critical, because anything else you do won't work if you are being re-exposed.
Molds can affect you in three ways. You can have an allergic reaction to exposure. You can become infected. You can have a toxicity reaction to the mycotoxins.
If you can figure out which is happening for you, then you can figure out what the best way to treat it is. But whatever you do, get that mold out of your house!
