Hi Everyone,

I'm going back on IVs at the beginning of July and I am coordinating everything myself (as opposed to the doctor's office contacting a nursing company). I've had experience with one nursing company in MA that is also a nationwide company (Coram Healthcare) but I was wondering if anyone had any companies to recommend to me.

This is all assuming, of course, that my insurance will cover the IVs. It's kind of tricky because I won't be starting them until July and my insurance changes July 1st (my dad has a new job) but I need to try to get things set up now before I leave on Monday for a trip 'til the end of the month. Should I call my insurance to see if they'll cover or call the nursing company and have them contact the insurance?

Thanks,
Annie

Thanks for the reply. I don't have to worry about the insurance not covering Lyme treatment in general, just the IVs. Since I'm just switching insurance companies and I've been insured all along they will cover preexisting conditions. There was a question about this at first but it all got cleared up when we read the insurance information more carefully. The insurance company is not based in MA. I'm not sure what state but the company my dad's switching to is based in Oregon, but I don't think that's where the insurance is based.

Have you asked Dr. H for nursing companies, assuming that's where you got the Rx?
