This is the action alert from now until either the bill passes or the legislature adjourns. The legislature will adjourn some time tomorrow.
1) FOR NEW YORKERS ONLY: Call Senator Kemp Hannon preferably tonight, but tomorrow morning is okay. Urge him to pass the OPMC Bill, S4148.
You will probably reach an answering machine so leave your name and address with your message.
Telephone: 518-455-2200
For those with additional energy, please write the same in an email to Sen. Hannon. Email: [email protected]
2) FOR NON-NEW YORKERS: Please call and email Governor George Pataki right away. Telephone messages can be left on his answering machine.
Both telephone and email messages can be as short as "Please pass S4148 to reform the OPMC". Leave your name and address on the phone messages..
Telephone: 518-474-8390
To Email The Governor: Click on http://161.11.3.75/ Scroll down on the page this brings you to, and there is a form on which to submit your email.
Please try to get friends and family to do the same.
If anybody has any doubt that this is one of the most important things you can ever do, please read Mo's posting of the letter from Pat Smith. Love to all, Ellen

As I said before, some very sick people have worked very hard for four years to protect the medical care of Lyme patients.
Many are now much more ill than when they started.Lyme advocacy work can be very hard.
However, what is being asked of people now is to just make one phone call.
Out of respect for those who have sacrificed to make sure we don't lose our doctors, please make this one call. And please keep this thread at the top,so that everyone can participate. Ellen

I just e-mailed the govenor and asked for support forthe bill to be passed by someone who cares about the medical welfare of so many of us who suffer from LD.
I am new at this info, and don't know what all it is about, since I have not visited for awhile until today or so....but I just know I had to do anything that will help us. I mentioned that I know so many sufferers in NY and in NJ, and signed my full name...nd said thankyou....
