i have taken doxy 100mg many times in the last 5 years. it always looks like a small, beige or light pink round pill with an A on it and 112 under the A. a friend just showed me her doxy: it says doxy 100mg on the bottle but it is a large, light blue capsule. it says Westward 3142 on it. it made her really sick. is it really doxy? has anyone had doxy that looks like this? thanks.

Generic doxy comes from different labs, and yes, it can look that different. A friend who tried both the blue and the orange found she had fewer negative reactions to the little orange pill.

My doxycycline is a pale blue capsule with the writing of "Westward 3142" on it and my insurance pays it at the generic 100% price. Plus my pharmacist is like a second mom to me so I am pretty sure it is the right pill. I have found if I eat or I can drink an ensure with it i don't get sick. But if not (and I have done this before) it is upchuck city! I felt like I was going to turn myself inside out I puked so much! So I have learned to eat something when I take the pill if it is nothing but a peice of buttered toast just get something on my stomach. It doesn't mix well with just coffee or Diet Barg's rootbeer for sure! Stacie
