Is itpossible? Or should I just get used to it? If it's not my back or knees aching, it's swollen lympth nodes or a headache. Somedays are better than others. Just seems like everyday it is something.

I know how you feel! I don't have a day without pain seems the longer I am treated the more I hurt. I wonder if this is what I have to look forward to the rest of my life. I thought when they actually found out an actual cause for my pain they would have something to fix it.
I don't have any answers with you except to say that I haven't found that pain relief yet but I hope I am on the right track to feel better.

I do now....I have been treated for almost 2 years and I have days when I feel almost completely normal....
Last year I felt like...I am much better but I have something (some pain, ache etc.) every day....
This disease is very tricky.
I hope you will get better, too!

Yes!!! Hang in there! I've been treated for about nine months or so and am starting to see a few of those "My old normal self" days again! I had almost forgot what it was like!

I get very impatient and depressed that the progress is so slow. But I am seeing progress...

I was just telling my husband the other day, that if it doesn't get any worse than it is right now, I think I can live with it. That is a far cry from the way I felt last summer!!

Of course, I don't want to settle for that. I am hopeful for a full recovery. Right now I am just taking it one day at a time.

How long have you been on antibiotics?

I understand... although, after a little more than 2 months of treatment, I noticed moments of normality.

The moments are longer, moving into hours...

It will get better - just give your body time to heal and lots of rest!!!

Hang in there salatheel.

I do have those days, but I think they are from pain treatment and not from Lyme treatment.

Are you treating your pain symptoms at all? I think it is vital that Lyme patients work with a doctor who really understands pain treatment. It's hard to find them, but they are out there.

Pain treatment is more than just narcotics. You want comprehensive treatment. My pain plan consists of Flexeril for muscle pain, months of physical therapy that has now switched to exercise on my own to strengthen weak muscles and get my endorphins going, Vicodin or ibuprofen for break through pain. I started Plaquenil as well, which helps inflamation in the joints.

It took me months to get my pain under control. Before I started Lyme treatment and had flares, I had many pain free days.

Of course, my hope is to move off of the pain treatment following the abx treatment.

Yes, Hang in there.

I used to dread mornings...I knew with the am, came increased pain, fatigue and lots of chores that HAD to be done.

Two years into this thing, I am feeling pretty normal most days. I dont constantly fight pain, and havent taken even a aspirin for many many months.

I do have occasional headaches or ear aches, but they seem to pass on their own, sometimes requiring a catnap. But in general, I am going pretty hard these days...except when my heart is slowing me down....but this too shall pass.

Keep your chin up, it DOES get better.
