I've heard that is not the place to go for lyme. Just like Hopkins or Mayo are not good places to go.

Hi lisa, Nancy is right about having better doctors in PA than we have in Ohio where lyme does'nt exist. When I lived in Olmsted falls just south of Nancy at fawn lake apts...I went to see doctors in the cleveland clinic for my knee replacement and was yelled out of the office even though I told the doctor that I was in soo much pain I was ready to chop off my legs above the knees.
Not too much compassion at the Cleve., Clinic for infectious diseases...university hospital, metro or southwest or even the VA hospitals in cleve or the one in Brecksville.
I had to go to hermitage to get seriously treated. Ann Ohio was my life saving angel.
Hey, Nancy< do I know you???
anyway...they seem to understand lyme disease a lot better in certain parts of penny better than they do in Ohio....the ticks see the state line and don't dare cross over it....tee hee....heaven forbid it ever thought that our emerald necklace was infected with lyme ticks...jeez...there's enough deer in those parks to feed plenty teepee's for months...

later zman

One of my doctor friends worked there for a while a while and saw a lot of Lyme cases. I am not sure if I the patients were properly treated there, but I know for a fact that a whole bunch are diagnosed there.

Best of luck!

Lymie Tony,

No, I've never had the pleasure of meeting you, but Ann-OH has been my lifesaving angel also! (I call her my Guardian Angel!)

I got a kick out of your Emeral Necklace remark because that's where I think I contracted Lyme also.

Somehow it helps me realize I'm not nuts (like the docs said I was) when I hear people mimick my thoughts like you have... Thank You!

Lisa, there are some good hospitals in Cleveland, (though docs are leaving Ohio in droves right now). However, they just don't understand Lyme. Believe me, I spent a year trying to find one here.
