I just got it and was wondering if there are any interactions w/abx or other meds.

Did it help you and did you notice a reduction in any specific symptoms?

Are you referring to Paragone, made by RenewLife, which is a detox program to rid your body of parasistes?

If so, yes I started using it. Parasites and yeast, combined with my chronic constipation, were and are a huge problem for me right now. Paragone finally got things moving and I lost tons of worms (and 4-pounds of you-know-what) in two days. My stomach flattened a lot, and I felt so relieved to get rid of so much abdominal pressure.

But, I also felt so yucky (brain fog, horrible vertigo, horrible emotional spells) that I had to stop it. I'm trying to work with a doctor or naturapath to identify more specifically which worms I have and plan my treatment so that I can handle it without having such a die-off reaction. I also think I react badly to the Cape Aloe component in it. It really worked though, on getting those parasites out.

I hope to use it again, slowly, and consistently.

Hope that's helpful (if it's the same thing!)

Joanie

Paragone is a wonderful product. However, you shouldn't skip the first few steps before using it. Brenda Watson created her line of products in a very specific order for very specific reasons. It is VERY important to do the whole body cleanse and the colon cleanse FIRST.

If you don't, when you start clearing out the parasites, it will be too much for your body to handle if you haven't "cleared" out the other organs.

The whole body cleanse will get the liver, lungs, colon, blood, kidneys, bladder, etc. cleared out and ready for the elimination of the toxins that you will be sending their way.

If you don't do these cleanses first, you will most definately feel crummy. Think of a wet sponge. If you have a wet sponge and you pour water on it, it will not absorb any more water. The water will just run off.

It's the same thing with the toxins. They will have no where to go but back into your system and you will feel the effects in a big way.

Thanks Joanie & French, it sounds very promising. Now that I have my heavy metals situation in check, this is the next step.

Once Btn, you gave me a chuckle! Paragoric is an old line drug for Diarreah before Lamotil & Immodium came on the market.

It tasted like Black licorice from hell or that Greek drink Uzo! Yuk! When I was in Greece, they served Uzo at a party and I didn't want to be disrespectful. However, it was a Paragoric flashback and I ran to the lav to spit it out!

More Paragoric humor: My PCP had a psoter in his lav that had a monkey on the toilet holding a bottle & making a face. Under the monkey was a slogan..."Diarreah is no laughing matter....but neither is the taste of Paragoric." LOL!

I loved the ouzo in Greece. They bring it to you like water at the table, with bread. Luckily it was before I quit drinking, so I got to see double my money for most of Athens.
hahaha
I like the taste of immodium also.
go figure.

I've been using Doctor Shulzes detox programs. Started with the Liver/GB, also detox tea, juicing, raw foods..anti-parasite tinctures..

Plus the intestinal cleanse products, and the kidney and liver flush AM drinks (not at the same time..one week on, then one week for the other one).

It's ALLOT of work, have my juicer and blender running all day, plus making broths and taking eveything on strict scheduale, several cloves of raw garlic ..hot/cold hydrotherapy. The program is thirty days sytematically addressing each area for detox.

I'm doing it on abx, though many here would say it is not a good idea, I decided to because of my personal needs, and I felt I could not go off abx to do it, nor could I wait. I think if you are doing it on abx, you should be careful and be monitored in some way, ie: basic blood work through your Doc to monitor liver/kidney and all..and be ready to stop if anything adverse happens. better yet..find a good ND to help as Joanne has done. I could not find one that would "cleanse me" on my abx regimen. You need a good ND who will be Lyme open.

I think you also need to mind the absorption of abx, and be sure using intestinal cleanse that food, tinctures, herbs, abx are all taken at least an hour away from an intestinal cleanse product.

Hard to say how I feel..as usual. Definate evidence of good detox benefits (skin, eyes, hair)..but nothing glaringly adverse other than periods of fatigue.

I'm trying to figure out how you know if worms have come out? Can we talk straight here? Do you have to "inspect it"?

I guess it's silly for me to think the little molesters would stand up and introduce themselves..

Mo

Mo, I assume a visual screen or better a sample sent to pathogy via a GI MD would be the only way to tell, albeit it may be gross. A GI MD would probably want to send a sample to the lab before they Rx'd an antiparasitic med.

Any idea of Paragone interacts w/any abx adversely? The packagaing is vaugue and the ingredients are not listed on many of the drug checker websites.
