This is part of her idea over in General. http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/010555.html

T O P I C R E V I E W :

Gabrielle: I will probably get some angry replies because I mention this name here but anyway:
Michael Moore is working on a new documentation movie called "Sicko" about the American health system. I don't know exactly what he is planning.

Do you think that there is anything he could do in this new project to improve the situation of Lymies? If yes, it could give our case a gigantic worldwide publicity.

Someone any ideas?

Just wondering if this might be an opportunity.

Gabrielle

I emailed him. If several of us contact him about Lyme it couldn't hurt.

Not angry but guess i will play devils advocate.

I am for anything to get help for all of us. However i do think( to be nice and not elaborate how i feel about Michele Moore) we should concider who we get to reprsent us.

Given his reputation with many people im afraid it would back fire on us. To be associated with him.

It could make our cause seem Less than Important.

Just a thought

Graneet, I respectfully disagree.

Bowling for Columbine won an award at Cannes as well as an Academy Award for best documentary and Farenheight 9/11 was the first documentary since the 1950s to win the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The only bad rep he has is from the conservative media who are doing absolutely nothing to help in our Lyme cause so I dont think we need to worry about that.

Think about it - the government, AMA, health insurance companies, etc are the ones screwing us over...I dont know of many republicans who are doing much to change this. Its going to take someone like Michael Moore who is not afraid to challenge the mainstream.

Let's put our political view-points and personal opinons of M. Moore aside and come together to help our cause. He is the perfect person to tackle the Lyme controversy. Let's get writing!!!

As I posted in general, I sent an email to Moore when this first posted and now wish I hadn't.

I have since heard him talk and learned how he cut and pasted clips and information to get his perspective across.

If he were to take on the lyme problem, it could back fire on us.

His perspective could be to attack the lyme specialists.
